"Jim" - Overseas Gypsy Horse Breeder

Breeder "Jim"

Many of our true gypsy breeders don't want their information to be known to the world.  They are naturally a private people, and therefore we respect that privacy when putting up their horses on our site.

Jim:  Not his real name.  Jim is our best breeder, whom we have gotten the most and the best horses from overall.  He's one of the most respected names in the gypsy horse world, and among gypsies in general.  He's bred some of the finest horses in all of Europe.  Horses like Penny, (AKA Cassie), Polly, (AKA Babydoll), and Panda Rose are from his lines.  His main stallion is listed as "Jim's good stallion".   Jim's "Rose Line" is a bloodline that is known throughout Britain as being one of the best lines of horses around, all based on a few phenomenal mares.  There are lots of gypsy horse mares called "Rose", but if you want the original, good Rose line, it must come from this breeder's stock.  You can't do wrong with horses from any of this breeder's bloodline.

"Jim's" Good Stallion".  You won't find better.  He looks great, but most importantly, he produces great stock.
This picture was taken when he was pretty elderly, not cleaned out or even dry, but he's a gorgeous horse no matter what his condition is.
Unfortunately, this stallion had to be put down due to an injury in 2003, so this bloodline is now not available.  There are still many phenomenal horses from his breeding in the ranks all over the world, and this bloodline is very highly in demand on both sides of "the pond".

In 2003, "Jim" had purchased and used one of the most amazing stallions we have ever had the privilege to meet.

He is called "The Lion King", and he is a 15.2 hand HOMOZYGOUS stallion who is the absolute top breeding, big stallion alive today.  All of the gypsy lads are crazy about him, and clamoring to get their mares bred to this amazing horse.  Not because he's homozygous (they didn't know that, I suspected it so I did the test on him myself!), but because of two things.  First, he is simply the heaviest (in feather) horse that has ever lived (yes, that includes horses like "The Road Sweeper", "The Old Black Horse", "The Lob", and all of those), and second, he is KNOWN to produce amazing stock.  He's as proven as proven gets.  The fact that he only produces color no matter what he's bred to doesn't hurt things, but he's top because he's a proven "getter" of great stock!  This horse and his stock have been SO guarded and so in-demand for the past 5 years, and we are THRILLED to finally be able to offer horses of his breeding for sale.  We have been trying to get some of this blood for nearly 2 years now!  These won't be the cheapest horses around, but if you want the absolute tops, this stock is it!

The Lion King is a son of the famous mare called the "PO Mare" who is one of those names up there with the Horseshoe Mare, The Long Mane Mare, and The Angel Mare.  She's produced amazing stock over the years, with this awesome horse being the 'top dog'.  The sire of The Lion King had a very short career, as he died in an accident as a 2 year old, after breeding only a  few mares.  This makes "the mix" that created this horse something unique, that can never be recreated.  He is truly one of a kind.

Another note of interest about this horse, his name is "The Lion King".  He has a name, and everyone knows it.  It's not many gypsy stallions that have names, and names that are known everywhere, but this guy is one of those elite few!   He's a living legend.  Don't miss this chance to get some of this exclusive, legendary blood!  There won't be too much of it available, and if you miss out on it, it will be gone!

"The Lion King".  Believe it or not, he's not even cleaned out in this picture!  Only the TOP layer of his feather was brushed up, but the under-layers of his feather were still in dreads!  I can hardly imagine him properly cleaned up!  AND, you can see his amazing body and great size as well.  WOWZA to the 10th degree!

A few weeks later.  Completely dirty, just out in the field, but SO amazing.  I have never seen anything like this boy!

More pictures and current information on The Lion King are available on his page.  Click here to go to The Lion King's page

When this breeder allowed us to purchase "The Lion King" and bring him to the US, he had to replace him with a horse he thought was "on par" with Lion King" - not an easy task.  The horse he chose to do this with was a the brother to Lion King, known as "The PO".  He is from the famous mare known as "The PO Mare" (same dam as Lion King), and "Old Henry" (A Conners horse).  Many of the mares coming from this breeder will be in foal to "The PO" starting in 2005.

And his up-and-coming young stallion known as "The white colt", or "Tid".   This guy has had two breeding seasons so far, and several foals from him have already been in the top tiers of the prices at some of the bigger horse fairs!  He's already produced some of the most talked-about and in-demand youngstock in England and Ireland!  He's a 3 year old in this picture, and dozens of the gypsy boys have been trying to buy him, but the offers haven't been tempting enough for his owner yet!

He is now known as one of the best producing stallions in all of England, his foals have brought record amounts at all the fairs in 2005, 2006, and 2007!

Notice regarding counterfeit 'Tid' offspring:
The owner of Tid has recently alerted us to the practice of some overseas (and domestic) dealers offering offspring and siblings form Tid.  He has assured us that there is only one full sibling to Tid (a colt), and that he has not seen any of the purported 'offspring' that actually were from 'Tid'.  If you are considering a horse related to 'Tid', and it did not come from us, We suggest you do further research.  We can assist you in DNA parentage verification, and confirmation from Tid's owner.
