Equine Affaire,
Pomona, CA - Jan 29-Feb 1, 2004
BFS&GH horses represented the
gypsy cob breed with the Gypsy Cob Society of America at the California
Equine Affaire in Jan, 2004. We had a great time with 5 of our
horses, including Rom Baro,
Dinah, and a few others including some
young colts. The crowds adored the horses as usual, and were a
huge hit.

Rom Baro (Tyson) and Lotto the colt go for a dry off (after a bath) and
a warm up.
Tyson is a great babysitter with the colts.

Jeff and Rom Baro answer questions on the breed in the ring.

Jeff and Rom Baro warm up a bit before our breed demo. Don't step
on the tail!!!

The colts Lotto and Garrison with our friend Gary Smith and Thomas along
for company, go for a walk around the showgrounds.

With all that hair it can take a minute to get the bridle straightened
out. His mane measures over 4 feet long!

Lotto learns how to "pony" along his surrogate dad. Right: "Ahemm,
excuse me son, I'm not your mother!" The ever-patient Rom Baro
lets Lotto figure out there there is no "free lunch" this time!

After the show in Pomona, we spent a few days at the LA Equestrian
Center, and had a chance to get out and hob-knob with the locals a bit.
It was great fun, and the horses were a huge hit there too! In
this picture, Jeff and Rom Baro meet up with a man riding his clydesdale
gelding. Similar horses, but very different somehow...
