Location and Meeting Details

The meeting will run 9AM to 5PM on Tuesday, April 8th, and Wednesday, April 9th, 2003, with a break for lunch on both days.  Details of lunches and other events will be posted later (want to help with the set up of this part of the meeting?  E-mail Chris at gypsyhorses@aol.com)  On the evening before the meeting, April 7, there will be a reception for Gypsy Horse People at the hotel, with a cash bar and other refreshments.  The time for the reception is 7-9 pm at the Ramada.  This will give everyone an evening to meet other gypsy horse owners/breeders/enthusiasts before the meeting actually begins.  Also, on the night of April 8, after the meeting and a break for dinner, there will be a Q & A forum with some true Romany gypsy horse breeders from the UK!  Get your questions answered
"straight from the horse's mouth"!  The reception, meeting, and other planned events, combined with Equine Affaire should prove to be a very enjoyable social event, so please plan to attend in any capacity you can. 

A meeting facility and a block of rooms has been reserved at  the Ramada Plaza Hotel, 4900 Sinclair Rd, Columbus, Ohio.  Phone is 614-846-0300.  The special room rate for the meeting through the end of Equine Affaire is $64.00 per night for up to 4 people.  When booking, you must specify that you are with the "Gypsy Horse Group" (and not with Equine Affaire; we have a better rate).  If you want to stay for the full run of Eq. Aff, you must specify your dates when booking.  The cut-off date for getting this rate is March 23, 2003.  The hotel is 5 miles from the Ohio Expo Center, where the Equine Affaire is held.  Both places are just off I-71 for easy access from the hotel to the expo center and back.  Shuttle service will be available.
