Cowboy Mare
Here's a pretty mare, and her 2003 colt sired by Chief, from the SD farm. I've always liked this gal, but had never seen her cleaned up until the February photos. She's very heavy in feather, and has really nice legs and bone. She's 7 years old, of nice size, about 15 hands, and has been a broodmare all her life. She's cute and so sweet and gentle. Every time I go to this farm, this gal catches my eye, mostly because of her absolutely beautiful head. Cowboy also has classic ink spots, so she is likely homozygous. If she is, she will only produce colored foals, no matter what she is bred to. She's produced several nice foals, and is back in foal for 2004 to "The Rocking Horse", also from the SD farm. She foaled a nice filly (I goofed and said it was a colt before, but I was wrong, it's a filly!) foal in May, 2003, and he is included in this 3 in one package for a limited time. Price thru NY quarantine for mare and foal: $27,000
