Dolly
Dolly is a cute,
sweet driving mare. She's about 15.2 (maybe 15.3, she's big!) hands tall, is
7 years old, and has a
really nice build to her. Dolly can
MOVE! I think she might be about the best-moving gypsy horse I have ever
seen. She nearly hits her nose with every step. It's really neat to
see her strut her stuff. BONUS! Dolly has been tested and
confirmed as homozygous. This means that she will throw colored
foals no matter what she is bred to! With her size, shape, and homozygous-ness, she
would make a great mother of drum horses, if bred to a large Shire or
Clydesdale! Another bonus,
Dolly is confirmed in foal for 2004 to the stallion "Majesty" from
Gypsy Grace
Ranch!!!
Dolly is broke to ride and drive, but we haven't tried her out ourselves.
At the bottom is a picture of her in harness (back in England, when she was
shaved), dragging something, but we haven't put her in the shafts ourselves.
We can put her into work for a month or so before she leaves for a small fee.
$19,000 from our farm in Colorado.
NEW Pictures, taken December 3, 2003. Dolly is looking great, and is much-less "shaved" than her old pictures taken in England (she was completely shaved for show, which is the way they usually show cobs over there). Her mane is coming in really pretty and silky, and her feather is coming back nicely. She has that really pretty "white-forelock" look, that I love, and WOW, what a body on this gal! Nearly every picture I took was "my favorite", so since I couldn't decide, I put up nearly all of them! :>)
