Terry

Here's a bonus deal!  This mare is one of the best-bred traditional gypsy mares in England.  Most of your bigger ones these days don't have a background, but this mare has an elite pedigree, with some of the top mares, like "The Long Mane Mare", and the "Gikes Mare" in her blood.  Some of the top stallions are up there as well!   These horses that this breeder owns are some of the top selling horses in England over the past 10-15 years.  Due to a change in his circumstance, he is making a few of them available to us, and only us, at this time.  There have been countless gypsy lads trying to buy this blood from him for over a year, and he won't let it go.  Thanks to our good friend "Jim", we can now offer to sell a few of this prized stock.
Terry is built wonderfully, and is SO incredibly heavy in bone and feather.  She's a big one, right at 15 - 15.1 hands, and is 6 years old.  She, and the stallion she was/is bred to are pedigreed to the hilt.  Terry foaled a really nice filly in late Feb, 2003.  In some of the pictures, the filly is one day old.  She has incredible amounts of hair for a day-old foal.  She will be VERY heavy in feather (even heavier than her mom I think!)   This is a 3 in one package, as Terry has been bred back to the same stallion for a 2004 foal.  She's also got ink spots (might be homozygous), so could be a great choice for making drum-sized horses.  $23,000 for 3 in one package thru both mare quarantines.  If you want the package "parted out", Terry would be $18,000 alone (back in foal), and the filly is $10,000 on her own.

NEW PICTURES (these are some pictures from last summer that I forgot I had).  Terry looked fabulous last summer, and she produced an awesome filly last year as well.  She's not cleaned out in the pictures, but just with her hair not muddy and dry, you can see that she has the right kind of wonderful, abundant silky feather, and that she passes it to her foals!  This is a great mare not only because she is a wonderful example of the breed, but because she breeds that goodness into her foals.

Terry's 2002 filly.  Quality indeed!  (this filly not included, the filly with the package is the 2003 filly, pictured below)

New picture taken in May, 2003.  Terry has the right kind of silky, straight hair, and plenty of it!  This is a good one!

And look at this filly!  I haven't ever seen a better shoulder on a filly of this age (picture in May, when she is about 3 months old).  She has wonderful legs too, and tons of hair for her age.  Look at the abundant, huge mane that's coming in on her too.  This is a top-notch filly for sure!  The filly could be purchased separately if someone was interested (before the package sells).  Price, $11,000, and she would be shipped at weaning, in July or after.
This filly is another testament to her mother, as this mare is renowned for producing exceptional foals.  A great mare, with the right breeding will always out-produce herself, and this mare does that, every time.

Pictures from Feb, 2003.  Muddy and shaggy, but still a great quality mare.  And her wonderful 2003 filly.

Look at the hair on this mare.  Can you imagine her if she were cleaned up?
She would have as much or more than most stallions!

The filly (unnamed) gets to know one of her aunts!  Look at the hair off the pack of the legs at 1 day old!  WOW.

Sire to the filly.  Terry is back in foal to him.
